E. T. Russell Sardine Factory was purchased by Calvin Stinson, Sr., with partners Jones, Lester and Henry Wass in 1920. Stinson bought them out in 1927 and ran the business until his retirement in 1982. His sons, Calvin Jr. and Charles continued the sardine packing business until 1990 when it was sold to Richard Klingerman and Woody Harris.

The workers in this factory processed upwards of 300 tons of corn in a single season.
