The VanNess, Sewells and Paines were summer guests. Julia Cole's mother and Mamie Cole were Mrs. Tracy's HIRED GIRLS for several summers. Frank Shaw and his wife Sarsh Pineo (Allen) Shaw (adopted by George Allen) ran the Inn (THE SANDS). Then Richard Shaw and his wife Arlene Holt Shaw lived there - Arlene sold it in 1984. The other house was owned by George and Margaret Allen. Later sold to Ted Rasco. It was used as and office for the Paul Bunyan Developers then sold to a Mr. Burrill. Then was vacant for a very long time - Rumor has it that the new owner of the SANDS has bought it (1985). [show more] | |||
